has a better receiver than what is in your cellphone. Its advanced electronics are very sensitive and are able to receive small signals which would go undetected by most cell phones. It also has a better transmitter with double the power of your cellphone. This allows your voice to be heard by distant cell sites, increasing coverage up to 50 miles or more with the right outside antenna.

cellphone using the Wilson amplifier/repeater set-up is safer and will
use less battery power because the phone thinks it's much closer to a cell
site than it actually is. Cell phones vary their power output based on

HOW OUR AMP / REPEATER WORKS
When YOUR PHONE receives a signal
The signal is received by the OUTSIDE ANTENNA from the cell site.
The signal is sent to the AMPLIFIER / REPEATER
The signal is then AMPLIFIED / REPEATED and then
The signal is transmitted to your phone through the INSIDE ANTENNA
When YOUR PHONE transmits a signal
-- your phone transmits the signal to the INSIDE ANTENNA.
-- The INSIDE antenna is connected to the AMPLIFIER/ REPEATER
-- The signal is then AMPLIFIED / REPEATED and then
-- The signal is transmitted to the OUTSIDE ANTENNA, and then

Signal Strength & Our Guarantee
You need a strong signal outside your building that reaches the outside Yagi Antenna for an Amp/Repeater to work properly. So, we require that you test the signal strength of your cell signal on the building roof or other outside location to determine if there is a strong enough signal to work with an Amp/Repeater set-up. We really do not enjoy buying back an Amp/Repeater from a customer because the signal strength just is not strong enough to work properly at a location.
